Dear Mr. Shepard,
My husband and I are in the process of building a house with BBL in DeSoto. Our salesman is Darian Amberger and I just wanted to write you a note telling you of our experience with BBL. Darian is the most service oriented individual that I have ever come across. I can say that with assurance for we have been working with Darian since last November on this project. (Letter is dated May 9). He worked diligently with us to make sure that our plan was exactly what we wanted. He drove many miles, an many different occasions to meet with us to review the plans and to pick out the building products that we wanted. He went over and above the call of duty in the planning stages of the project. We took a couple of months to get our loan and to start building, due to weather, but we never felt pressured.

It is our opinion that Darian has treated our home project as if it were his own. He is on site on a regular basis to answer any questions that we have or that the builders may have. He is in constant contact with us and has seen to every detail of our construction.

Not only are we extremely impressed with the level of service we have received from BBL; we are equally impressed with the quality of materials. The boards were prime lumber, every truss and wall were level, straight and well put together. It is evident that your company takes pride in its product and will not distribute what you yourselves would not use in your own homes.

My husband and I are both extremely pleased and thankful. We will definitely be repeat customers… for a new barn to go with the new house.

Mike’s helpful suggestions and BBL’s support staff enhanced the strength and architecture of the house, for instance, when we added a carport, deck over the carport, and an inside walk around balcony. These added features were excellently done.

• Mike’s working with us when we chose the radiant heat for the house and laying out the house in the beginning.
• Mike’s helping us with cost reductions, i.e. dormers and small bays.
  
• Mike’s suggestions of concrete and electrical sub contractors. He helped us stay in touch with them.
• Mike’s extra help in small ways, such as, taking photos of the house and sending them email to us, making sure we were informed on the construction progress, contacting contractors as needed, taking the concrete contractors suggestion on adding an equip room and working with us on it. The extra equip room and working with us on it. The extra equip room was added ad was a good idea.
  
• BBL and Mike recommending 6x6 porch columns instead of the blue print specs of 4x4’s. The 6x6’s looked good, were strong and will be less likely to split or warp.
  
• Mike worked with us to overcome an error on our blue prints regarding the framing of the French doors. Mike and BBL helped work a framing solution to accommodate a French door that would work.
  
• Gary Clemmons, lead carpenter, and his crew was very helpful as well as Keith and his crew from Decocrete.
  
• We appreciate the roofer making sure the carport deck was waterproof.
